Prof. Dr. İlhami Sığırcı’s new work, Global History of Translation, is now on the shelves.

Global History of Translation is a study spanning from Ancient Greece to Rome, from Andalusia to Europe, from Central Asia to the Middle East, and from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic.

Dr. Nur Gülümser İlker, a lecturer in our department, appeared as a guest on the programme "Gecenin İçinden", broadcast on TRT Radio 1 at 11.30 pm on Friday 31 July. Hosted by Selvi Karakoç and broadcast live from the Sıhhıye Radio House studios, the programme featured a discussion on the Colombian journalist and writer Gabriel García Márquez, who is regarded as a pioneer of the Magic Realism movement.

Res. Assist. Cansu Babekoğlu, who works in our department, completed a short-term doctoral internship at the University of Salamanca as part of the Erasmus+ KA131 program. During her internship, she conducted literature research at institutions such as Casa Museo de Unamuno, Biblioteca de Filología, and Biblioteca Nacional de España.
